For more than two months already since the Enhanced Community Quarantine was implemented in our city, we stayed at home to be safe and prevent the spread of the corona virus. We had ample time inside our residence. My wife and I tended to our flower and vegetable gardens. Occasionally, we buy our needs from the local stores: KCC Mall of Marbel, Koronadal Supermarket, Jollibee and McDonalds drive thru. One time, there was a mobile store brought to our barangay we we bought fish, pork, bread, vegetables and some other stuffs we need.
We could no longer travel since land, water and air transportations were restricted. Only authorized flights are allowed. In our city, there was one COVID-19 confirmed case but later, it was announced that the said patient recovered and his test result for the virus became negative.
The difficulty to travel made changed our lifestyle but there are good things that also happened during the situation. We were able to plant more flowers and vegetables in our yard, construct a new carport for our Toyota Innova vehicle, and we had more time for the family. I was able to contact a welder to customize my bench press and pull-up bar and set-up a gym at home. I'm still grateful of the situation regardless of the limitations posed by the pandemic. Work-from-home were arranged by our office so I got chances to stay at home most of the days.
I have realized that uncertainties may strike but our faith in God will guide us to Him who is our refuge, rescuer and rest. To God be the glory!
